About Matt Sebbens
Matt Sebbens has a highly successful background in elite sports’ management. He has held positions including national events manager and high performance manager during a total of 14 years with Australian Swimming; as general manager at Disabled Winter Sports Australia; and most recently as high performance manager with the Australian Volleyball Federation. In 2012, Matt was appointed to the Australian Olympic Team for the London Olympics and was responsible for managing all aspects of the Indoor and Beach Volleyball Teams’ commitments throughout the Olympics. In addition to his travel representing our nation’s top sport’s teams, Matt took time out from 2000 to 2003 to tour Great Britain and Europe. For two of those years he worked as a strategist for the Royal Bank of Scotland. Matt's highly-tuned interpersonal skills, unwavering commitment to excellence, ability to ‘see outside the box’, achieve results, and exceed the demands of his clients have contributed to his success. Now, Matt is ready for his next challenge – a complete career change to an industry in which he has always shown a keen interest – where he can further apply his considerable expertise and ‘no excuse’ attitude to getting results. His local knowledge comes from having been born in Belconnen and living in the area for over 35 years. Matt brings his fit-to-burst suitcase of astute business experience to the Peter Blackshaw Gungahlin team. He’s here for the long haul, and Matt’s wife Esther and children Aiden and Lacey are certainly pleased he’s finally unpacking his suitcase. Matt’s enormous personal and professional network and unshakable commitment to excellence will give you the winning edge when selling or buying a property.
